The ANCIENT GREEKS
The Ancient Greek period ran from approximately 70o to 300 BC.
This was an enlightening period of great change and development. Indeed, the Greeks were one of the most advanced civilisations of the ancient world. Significant advancements in technology, the arts, sport, science and philosophy shaped their world.
The Ancient Greeks were fabulous story tellers. Stories of Gods, exploration, light and shade, good and evil, mortal and immortal - the Ancient Greek Myths still hold great fascination for many today.
AND THEIR LEGACY
Through our studies, we will investigate the daily lives of the people in Ancient Greece. We will try and understand how the society operated and explore many of the developments of that age.
We will investigate and draw conclusions about the impact of Ancient Greece on the development of the modern world, and the legacy left by this influential period of history.
Finally, we will look at the role of Modern Greece in today's world, particularly as a great torurist destination.
