Prayer and Reflections
Our Learning Council ran a competition to relaunch our School Prayer which included our school values and school motto. You can see our school prayer below. This was the chosen prayer because it shows our school values and our school motto. The prayer is also inclusive of everything we value at High Hurstwood CE Primary School.
To provide our children with further opportunities to think deeply and reflect on their experiences we are in the process of creating a permanent Prayer Space / Reflection Area in our school house garden using logs to make a cross and colourful pebbles. We have also created crosses in Forest School to add to this reflective space.
In addition to this we have developed reflection areas in each classroom. We encourage our pupils to use these areas to reflect. We have daily prayers in Collective Worship and involve the pupils in sharing their own prayers alongside our school prayer, the Lord's prayer and the prayer of St Richard (former Bishop of Chichester).
